The Roots

During my many years traversing South Africa and Namibia as a Bank Auditor, I had many wonderous, strange, amusing and downright hilarious experiences. For the enjoyment of my family and friends - and for anyone seeking out hints of nostalgia from days gone by- I decided to curate my stories in the hope they will bring a smile to those who read them. Similarly I hope those featured in my stories will forgive me for sharing - with very minor creative licence - our experiences with the broader public. And lastly, for any politically inappropriate references, I apologise and ascribe them to them to the era in which the events took place.
